Job summary

DAIKIN COMFORT TECHNOLOGIES MFG INC in Texas is seeking a Lead for Tool & Die to oversee tooling operations and ensure disruption-free production of HVAC components. You will guide tool room staff, program EDMs, and set station timing for progressive tooling.

This role requires hands-on expertise in die making, CNC and conventional machines, reading blueprints and CAD/CAM drawings, and mentoring others while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree or 6+ years progressive on-the-job experience in machining.
• 6+ years of Machinist and Tool & Die work experience in sheet metal fabrication is required.

Responsibilities

• Run EDMs and Program EDMs.
• Communicate with Operations team leads to set priority.
• Set priority levels of projects/tasks and direct die makers to specific tasks based on priority (including Press Calls).
• Own 5S in shop and maintain tooling to ensure quality production parts.
• Build Jigs & Fixtures.
• Trouble-shoot tooling problems at the press.
• Implement Engineering Changes on existing tooling.
