DAIKIN COMFORT TECHNOLOGIES MFG INC in Texas is seeking a Lead for Tool & Die to oversee tooling operations and ensure disruption-free production of HVAC components. You will guide tool room staff, program EDMs, and set station timing for progressive tooling.
This role requires hands-on expertise in die making, CNC and conventional machines, reading blueprints and CAD/CAM drawings, and mentoring others while maintaining safety and quality.
The Lead for Tool & Die is responsible for overseeing and directing tool and die employees to produce high-quality residential and commercial air conditioning and heating products. Leads the team to produce in an efficient manner with disruptive-free production, and safe work environment. The Tool & Die Makers are responsible for maintaining all tooling in the Plant. The scope of duties are as follows: Sharpening all tooling and maintain proper punch entry and pass line heights, establish timing of stations on all progressive tooling, have the ability to maintain all forming stations in the tooling, ability to operate all tool room equipment, competency to build miscellaneous jigs and fixtures, ability to work with minimal supervision, & ability to trouble-shoot tooling problems at the press.
