Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead traffic revenue and demand modeling projects in the North Region. You will apply travel demand analysis, supervise data work, coordinate technical content, and mentor junior staff on deliverables.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering or related field, plus significant experience and travel. You will manage project tasks, ensure QA/QC, and collaborate with clients to shape end products

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning or related discipline. AICP, PTP, PE, CEP or approved certification in a related field. Or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning or related discipline.
• 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 9 years of experience with Master's degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on duties and project demands.

Responsibilities

• Performing Traffic Revenue and Demand Modeling for toll agencies in the North Region, potentially leading projects.
• Executing Advanced Data Analysis on large datasets for traffic studies and highway planning projects.
• Overseeing task management, QA/QC, and ensuring technical accuracy and proper staffing on projects.
• Coordinating all project aspects with clients and mentoring junior staff on deliverables.
• Editing and QA/QC of technical documents to ensure high quality outputs.
