Job summary

Tiny Town Childcare & Learning Center - Kent and Painesville is seeking a Toddler Teacher to support a classroom of active toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years. You will foster independence, language development, and social-emotional skills through hands-on activities and structured routines.

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for toddlers, including sensory play, early language development, fine/gross motor activities, and simple learning concepts.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and predictable classroom environment.
  • Support children’s social-emotional growth through positive guidance, modeling, and gentle redirection.
  • Help toddlers build independence through routines, self-help skills, and structured transitions.
  • Communicate professionally with families about daily activities, progress, and classroom needs.
  • Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and daily routines.
  • Complete required documentation, attendance, and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with coworkers and leadership to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Follow all state licensing rules, center policies, and safety procedures.

Position Overview

The Toddler Teacher supports a classroom of active, curious toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years. This role focuses on building independence, language development, social‑emotional skills, and early learning through hands‑on activities, structured routines, and nurturing interactions.

Experience in early childhood is preferred, and candidates must meet or be willing to work toward meeting state licensing requirements for toddler teaching.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
  • Experience working with toddlers or preschool‑aged children preferred.
  • Early childhood education coursework or credential preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks and trainings.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom‑management skills.
