Job summary

Community Concepts is seeking a Lead Toddler Teacher for our Early Head Start Classroom in Norway, ME. This full-time role guides a toddler team, plans developmentally appropriate activities, and supports families to meet children's needs.

The position starts in Fall 2026 and offers year-round employment with comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate has a Child Development Associate credential, 5+ years in early care, and supervisory experience; MS Office skills and CPR/First Aid are

Qualifications

Minimum of Child Development Associate credential required.
Associate degree (related) preferred.
Minimum of three years of supervisory experience preferred.
Minimum of five years of experience in early care and education preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead a high-quality, nurturing toddler classroom team.
Plan activities and tailor curriculum to support development across social, emotional, physical, literacy and cognitive areas.
Communicate with and support families to meet children’s and families’ needs.
Work with management to maintain Head Start Performance Standards and licensing requirements.
