Job summary

The Goddard School in Stuytown, NY is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to guide a group of 1–2 year olds. You will lead daily activities, implement our Wonder of Learning curriculum, and create a nurturing environment where young minds can grow.

Qualifications

• AA/AS in early childhood education or CDA with study plan toward degree.
• CDA certification with plan toward an associate's degree within seven years.
• High school diploma with nine college credits in ECE or child development plus plan toward AA within seven years.
• High school diploma with five years experience in infant/toddler care and currently employed in a permitted program.
• GED with plan toward nine credits in ECE and toward an associate's degree within two years.

Responsibilities

• Lead age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain open communication with families about child progress.
• Supervise children to uphold health, safety, and licensing standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
• Observe and document children's learning to inform activities for families.
