Job summary

The Goddard School in Redmond Ridge, WA is seeking a dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to nurture and guide children from 6 weeks to 2 years old. This full-time role emphasizes creating a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom where children build confidence and foundational skills.

You will plan activities, monitor progress, and communicate with families daily. The ideal candidate loves teaching, collaborates well with staff, and supports ongoing professional growth within a supportive school

Requirements & Responsibilities

• Applicants for this position must be willing to work full-time M-F (8-hr shift with a 1-hour lunch break). (Projected schedule 8:30am - 5:30pm)
• Must be willing to work with children ages 6-weeks to 2 years and must be willing to assist in ALL required personal care routines.
• Applicants should have a love of teaching, working with children, and have the desire to learn and grow within the early childhood education field!
• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
• Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence through quality teacher-created lesson planning that utilizes gathered assessment data.
• Establish positive and effective family relations through daily in-person professional communication.
• Proficient with inter-personal communication between children, peers and parents.
• Must maintain professional commitment to the Goddard inquiry-based educational philosophy.

• A approved Portable Background Check (through Merit).

• A degree or certification in Education or Early Childhood Education or an Education related field.
• The following required prerequisites: 30 hour Childcare Basics certificate, a negative Tb Test, proof of MMR immunization, CPR/First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens Training, WA State Food Handlers, Goddard required Abuse & Safe Sleep Training, and all required DCYF training courses.
