Job summary

The Goddard School of Fairfield, CT is seeking a warm, energetic Full-Time Lead Toddler Teacher to guide developmentally appropriate learning for our toddlers in a safe, nurturing classroom.

You will plan age-appropriate lessons, support social, emotional, and cognitive development, and partner with families to share daily progress and milestones.

Collaboration with assistants and leadership, maintaining health and safety standards, and ongoing professional development are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred).
• Prior experience working in a toddler or early childhood classroom.
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must meet all state licensing requirements for childcare staff in Connecticut.
• Knowledge in NAEYC a plus!

The Goddard School of Fairfield is seeking a warm, energetic, and dedicated Full-Time Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about supporting the growth, development, and daily care of toddlers in a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

Position Overview

The Lead Toddler Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, fostering positive relationships with children and families, and creating a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and early learning success. You will guide toddlers through important developmental milestones while ensuring a consistent, structured, and caring daily routine.
