Job description

Lead Montessori Teacher

Inspire. Guide. Grow.

About Us

Opening in September of 2025, we are a new authentic Montessori school that is part of a larger network of independent schools dedicated to nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—through the time-tested Montessori method. Our classrooms will be joyful, calm, and thoughtfully prepared to spark curiosity and independence. We’re seeking warm, passionate Montessori credentialed educators who believe in the power of child-led learning and want to make a lasting impact in the lives of young children.

Position Overview

We are looking for dedicated and certified Montessori educators to lead classrooms at the Infant, Toddler, or Primary level. This is a wonderful opportunity for experienced guides or recent graduates of AMS or AMI programs who are excited to grow professionally in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a beautifully prepared Montessori classroom that inspires independence, focus, and a love of learning.
  • Implement individualized learning plans that honor each child’s unique development.
  • Observe, assess, and adapt to students’ needs to support their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with children and their families.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to maintain a consistent, nurturing environment.
  • Communicate with families through conferences, newsletters, and community events.
  • Participate in and occasionally lead family education nights and school-wide celebrations.
  • Maintain a calm, organized, and enriching classroom in alignment with Montessori principles.

What We’re Looking For

  • AMI or AMS Montessori Certification (or currently enrolled in a certification program)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred)
  • Classroom experience in a Montessori setting (preferred, but we welcome passionate new graduates)
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A reflective, flexible, and collaborative spirit
  • A deep respect for the individuality and potential of every child

What We Offer

  • Competitive salaries based on experience and credentials
  • Aligned with the local public school calendar (including holidays and closures)
  • 50% tuition discount for your children
  • Generous professional development support, including training scholarships
  • A supportive, mission-driven teaching team that values creativity, growth, and joy in learning
