Job summary

Child Care Resources Inc is seeking a full-time experienced Lead Preschool Teacher for a licensed childcare center serving ages 1 month through 5 years. You will lead activities for 1–2 year olds, ensuring a safe, engaging environment and daily routines Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

You must communicate well, work in a team, stay organized, and build positive relationships with children and families. Requirements include HS diploma or GED, WA background check, TB test, STARS training, CPR/First

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to pass a Washington State background check.
  • TB test required by first day; STARS basic training.
  • CPR and First Aid certification within 14 days.
  • Bloodborne pathogens training within 14 days.
  • Experience in a childcare center preferred (1 year).
  • Must lift up to 45 pounds and be able to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.

Responsibilities

  • Follow WA state WAC and center policies.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
  • Carry out daily classroom duties and housekeeping tasks.
  • Lead developmentally appropriate activities for 1–2 year olds.
  • Engage children in learning while ensuring safety and cleanliness.

Job description

We are a licensed childcare center providing care for 1 month thru 5 years. We are looking for a full-time experienced Lead Preschool Teacher. Shifts are Monday thru Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This position is working with 7 1-2 year olds, providing children with fun, educational and developmentally appropriate activities in a safe and engaging environment.

You must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment as well as be self-motivated and organized. Having patience and an ability to develop positive relationships with children and their families is a must.

What You'll Do

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Follow Washington State Code: WAC
  • Follow program policies and procedures
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality
  • Carry out program responsibilities
  • Follow the classroom daily schedule
  • Assume an equal share of joint housekeeping responsibilities such as nightly shutting down the classroom, keeping classroom and children's supplies inventoried
  • Actively engage in activities, manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Maintain confidentiality
Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a high school degree or GED
  • Have the ability to pass a Washington State background check
  • Have or receive a TB test by the first day
  • Have or receive STARS basic training
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • Must have or get within 14 days Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must have or get within 14 days bloodborne pathogens
  • Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks and be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
  • Have an initial ECE certificate or willingness to get. Scholarships available.
  • 1 year of verifiable professional experience working at a center or other group care program.
Nice To Have

Experience with lesson planning, prepping and implementation. We use Creative Curriculum, and training is provided.
