Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Lead Toddler Guide to lead a mixed-age toddler classroom in a Montessori environment designed for exploration and independence. You will observe, plan individualized lessons, and help children develop language, coordination, self-regulation, and confidence.

This role emphasizes supporting independence, guiding children with respectful instruction, and partnering with families to nurture growth and lifelong learning.

Qualifications

• Required ECE or Child Development credits.
• College degree in a child-related field preferred.
• Montessori knowledge/training highly valued.
• Strong observation and communication with families.

Responsibilities

• Observe each child closely to understand development.
• Prepare and maintain an orderly classroom that fosters independence.
• Support independence by encouraging toddlers to do it themselves.
• Provide lessons in practical life skills, language development, and social manners.
• Build warm, trusting relationships with children and families.
• Collaborate with parents to support each child’s growth.
• Lead classroom routines and work with teammates to create a joyful, respectful community.
