Qualifications

• Infant/Toddler CDA or Associates Degree required.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
• Certifications: Childcare Basics (STARS 30 Hours), First Aid/CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, Food Worker Card, Infant Safe Sleep (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Bilingual in language spoken by DLEC parents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Engage parents with regular communication and resources.
• Follow health and safety protocols to protect children.
• Collaborate to develop curriculum aligned with Early Head Start guidelines.
• Coordinate with staff and specialists to support children's education and well-being.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and stay updated on best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of child development progress.
