Job summary

ExecuSource is seeking a visionary Lead TMS Solutions Architect & Configurator to guide end-to-end architectural strategy for our transportation management systems. You will mentor a team of 5-6 configurators, lead advanced configuration efforts, and align technical work with aggressive multi-year expansion goals.

The role requires deep expertise in major TMS ecosystems, including Manhattan Associates TM Active, SQL databases, JSON, and API validation with Postman.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of dedicated system configuration and implementation in enterprise supply chain environments.
• At least 3+ years in a technical Solution Design or Systems Architect capacity.
• Hands-on mastery of any major enterprise TMS application; Manhattan Associates TM Active preferred.
• Solid foundation in relational database architecture with SQL and JSON/data translation experience.
• Advanced Excel workflows and data modeling.
• Experience with modern test and change management tools (qTest, ServiceNow).
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.

Job Title: Lead TMS Solutions Architect & Configurator

Department: Supply Chain Tech / IT Operations

Reports To: Director of Supply Chain Applications

Location: Smyrna, GA (Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite - Mon, Tue, Thu / 2 Days Remote)

Compensation: $135,000 - $145,000

Position Overview

We are seeking a visionary, high-level Lead TMS Solutions Architect & Configurator to elevate and scale our global supply chain infrastructure. While we currently utilize Manhattan Associates TM Active, we welcome enterprise leaders with deep expertise in any Tier-1 TMS ecosystem (Oracle OTM, SAP TM, Blue Yonder, etc.).

This is not a position for a standard administrator who simply takes configuration orders. We need an architect-minded strategist who can guide a talented team of 5-6 configurators, elevate application performance, and design a high-volume transportation roadmap capable of supporting an aggressive 5-year commercial business expansion.

Core Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Solution Architecture & Design: Own the end-to-end technical strategy for the TMS. Translate high-level business goals into concrete, scalable low-level and high-level architecture layouts.
• Advanced System Configuration: Lead the technical configuration, testing, implementation, and support workflows for our enterprise transportation management ecosystems.
• Strategic Business Alignment: Partner directly with Directors, Product Managers, and cross-functional business units to align system configurations with broader corporate commercial expansion goals.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Act as the strategic anchor and technical mentor for a team of 5-6 systems configurators, championing continuous optimization and a growth mindset.
• Integration & Lifecycle Optimization: Analyze end-to-end data flows and data translation rules across complex relational databases. Validate that application requirements align cleanly with downstream warehouse, inventory, and supply chain applications.
• Agile Collaboration: Drive project velocity by collaborating with Product Owners to define technical user stories, manage sprint planning, and refine backlogs.
• Risk & Change Mitigation: Evaluate system health, run root-cause analysis (RCA) on defect patterns, and architect proactive upgrades to guarantee highly secure, 24/7 technical infrastructure availability.

Qualifications & Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Proven Domain Tenure: 10+ years of dedicated system configuration and implementation experience within large-scale, enterprise supply chain environments.
• Design Experience: At least 3+ years operating in a technical Solution Design or Systems Architect capacity.
• Platform Flexibility: Hands-on mastery of any major enterprise TMS application suite. Direct experience with Manhattan Associates TM Active software is considered a significant advantage.
• Technical Stamina: Solid foundation in relational database architecture with practical experience running SQL queries (MySQL/Postgres), parsing JSON data structures, and utilizing Postman for API/integration verification.
• Analytical Tools: Highly proficient in advanced Excel workflows (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros, data modeling).
• Agile & System Tools: Practical experience using modern test and change management frameworks, such as qTest (Test Case Management) and ServiceNow (Help Desk Platform).
• Education Policy: Practical experience is our priority. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be fully substituted on a 1:1 year basis.
