Job summary

Point Global Logistics is seeking a TMS Application Manager to own our Transportation Management System and lead initiatives that improve efficiency, data integrity, and scalability across the supply chain. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field (required).
• Experience administering and supporting enterprise applications (5+ years).
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems such as Magaya, CargoWise, or comparable platforms.
• Hands-on experience with major system implementations, upgrades, migrations, or patch cycles.
• Strong knowledge of system configuration, APIs, integrations, databases, and data structures.
• Proactive, communicative, and able to work across technical and non-technical teams.

• Monitor performance, analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate escalations.

Point Global Logistics is an independent freight forwarder and logistics provider with 15 offices across the United States and international markets. Through partners in more than 58 countries, we deliver customized logistics solutions with personal attention throughout the supply chain.

We are looking for a TMS Application Manager to take ownership of a business-critical Transportation Management System and help us improve how technology supports our operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex system problems, translating business needs into practical solutions, and building tools and processes that scale with a growing company.

You will serve as the primary system administrator and partner closely with operations, leadership, users, software vendors, and implementation partners. Responsibilities include:

• Configure and maintain workflows, user roles, permissions, security, and system settings.
• Monitor system performance, investigate issues, analyze logs, identify root causes, and coordinate escalations.
• Plan and execute upgrades, patches, releases, testing, cutovers, and post-launch stabilization.
• Oversee integrations with other business applications and protect data integrity and operational continuity.
• Identify automation and configuration opportunities that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
• Create documentation and training, support users, and increase adoption of system capabilities.
• Partner with business leaders to prioritize enhancements and shape the enterprise application roadmap.
• Over time, support broader technology leadership, including vendor management and oversight of outsourced IT services.

This is an onsite position at our corporate office in Humble, Texas, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Travel may be required one to two times per month.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience administering, supporting, or managing an enterprise business application.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems such as Magaya, CargoWise, or comparable TMS platforms is highly valued. Experience with ERP, WMS, or similar enterprise software may also be considered.
• Hands-on experience with a major system implementation, upgrade, migration, or patch cycle from planning through post-launch support.
• Working knowledge of system configuration, role-based security, APIs, integrations, databases, data structures, testing, and change management.
• Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot complex issues, and distinguish configuration problems from software defects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Freight forwarding, customs brokerage, logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience is preferred.
• Experience with platforms such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle is helpful.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams in a multicultural environment.
• Proactive, accountable, persistent, and disciplined in testing, documentation, and follow-through.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
