Job summary

LiveOnNY Inc. seeks a Tissue Recovery Specialist II - Team Lead to participate in tissue recovery at hospital locations within the LiveOnNY service area. The role requires sterile technique, on-call responsiveness, and teamwork under the Team Leader. Per diem position with competitive pay scales and adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include preparing for recoveries, maintaining aseptic technique, labeling tissue, and assisting with donor assessment and training of team members.

Qualifications

• MD, RN, Surgical Technician, EMT or equivalent and two years related experience preferred.
• CTBScertification (Certified Tissue Bank Specialist) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows policies, regulations and standards for sterile technique during tissue recovery.
• Responds to pages within 15 minutes when scheduled on-call.
• Arrives on time for scheduled recoveries and prepares the back table and supplies.
• Opens sterile supplies and maintains aseptic technique throughout recovery.
• Performs sterile tissue recovery under direction of Team Leader.
• Packages recovered tissue per protocol and assists in donor assessment.
• Coaches and trains other team members; supports continuous process improvement.
