Job summary

Mercy Southeast-Radiation Oncology in Cape Girardeau, MO, seeks a skilled radiation therapist to deliver prescribed treatments, perform chart prep, and ensure accurate records. The role serves patients from adolescence to geriatrics and operates within Mercy Memorial Health Center's mission.

Candidates should have ARRT approval, be ARRT registered, CPR certified, and at least 3 years of experience. Proficiency with CT simulation, IMRT, cone-beam CT, and dosimetry is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT approved Radiation Therapy program.
• ARRT registration for Radiologic Technologist.
• 3 years experience as a radiation therapist; CPR certified.
• Familiar with dosimetry process and treatment planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
• Perform chart preparation prior to start of treatment.
• Conduct basic e-calculations and maintain accurate records of treatment.
• Collaborate with a small clinic team and support Mercy Memorial Health Center standards.

Overview

Deliver radiation therapy treatment to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist, perform and check chart preparation prior to start of treatment, perform basic e- calculations, and maintain accurate records of treatment. This position provides care to patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. Will perform all work with accord to the mission, vision, and values of Mercy Memorial Health Center.

Position Details

• Cape Girardeau, MO 63701
• Hours/Schedule: Full-Time (40-hrs per week), Days

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of ARRT approved Radiation Therapy program
• Licensure: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) for Radiological Technologist.
• Experience: 3 years experience working as a radiation therapist.
• Certifications: ARRT certified; CPR certified
• Other: worked with record and verify systems, ct simulation, basic calculations, e- imaging, cone-beam CT, and IMRT.Familiar with the dosimetry process and various treatment planning systems.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred.
• Preferred Other: Good computer skills. Ability to work in a small clinic.
