Job description

Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital’s Outpatiemt Program is located in Houston, dedicated to helping individuals aged 12+ navigate mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and personality disorders. The Outpatient Program provides both PHP and IOP levels of care between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm Monday through Friday.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Lead Therapist role located in Houston, TX. The Lead Therapist will provide clinical oversight for participants, complete assessments, conduct individual and group therapy sessions, and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each participant’s needs. The Lead Therapist will support participants in areas such as trauma work and emotional regulation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure successful program outcomes. Additional responsibilities include documenting client progress, participating in case consultations, and mentoring clinical team members.

Qualifications

• Clinical skills: Proficiency in therapy approaches such as trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and family systems therapy.
• Leadership and collaboration: Strong ability to lead clinical teams, collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment, and provide mentorship.
• Emotional regulation and conflict resolution: Expertise in guiding individuals through emotional challenges, attachment repair, and crisis management.
• Organizational skills: Ability to develop and manage individualized treatment plans and maintain thorough client documentation.
• Requirements: Licensed or license-eligible as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent in Texas.
• Preferred: Experience working with PHP and IOP programs for high acuity clientele.
