Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Theme Shop Director to lead a team of artists across five resort properties, overseeing all aspects from concept to installation. You will manage schedules, estimates, materials, purchasing, and vendor coordination while ensuring safety and quality across projects.

The role requires strong communication, hands-on fabrication knowledge, and the ability to mentor up to 25 staff.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to follow technical instructions.
• Hands-on knowledge of fabrication processes and construction techniques; basic math.

Responsibilities

• Lead the in-house Theme Shop team supporting signage, theming, fabrication, and creative needs across five properties.
• Oversee production from concept through installation, including estimates, schedules, materials, purchasing, and vendor coordination.
• Manage and mentor up to 25 artists and fabricators; lead product development meetings.
• Guide design, creation, and installation of themed environments and large-scale pieces.
• Collaborate with ownership, departments, subcontractors, and trades to realize projects; ensure safety and compliance.
