Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a world-class Panel Design Engineer to design, develop, and launch TFT technologies for portable, laptop and desktop displays in Apple products.

You will architect total TFT pixel and panel designs for mass production, including circuit simulation, layout optimization, and panel architecture studies. Responsibilities span architecture scoping, modeling, validation, and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors, with international travel for project support.

Qualifications

• BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.
• Experience in electrical engineering fundamentals (analog/digital circuit design).
• Experience with SPICE/Cadence modeling and simulation.

Responsibilities

• TFT panel architecture scoping and definition.
• TFT pixel and panel design, layout and parasitic parameter extraction.
• TFT pixel and panel modeling, characterization, and validation.
• Failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem solving for mass-production display development.
• New TFT technology exploration, investigation, and validation.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams including TFT process, optics, touch designers, silicon designers, mechanical engineering and product design.
• Collaboration with external vendors for display manufacturing.
• International business travel to support project implementation.
