Baker Engineering and Risk Consultants, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas, invites applications for a Senior Testing Engineer to lead complex testing programs from proposal to completion, ensuring readiness, instrumentation, SOPs, and facility capabilities.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years of engineering experience in experimental testing, strong project management skills, and the ability to translate test data into actionable recommendations for clients.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of engineering experience in experimental/testing fields (structural, blast, materials, mechanical, or related).
• Experience developing test plans, procedures, instrumentation layouts, and technical reports.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting experimental data.
• Proficiency with instrumentation, measurements, data acquisition systems, high-speed data collection and imaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety planning and hazard assessments.
• Develop objectives, methodologies, and instrumentation plans for test programs.
• Support and lead R&D initiatives.
• Provide mentoring to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Develop project schedules, resources, budgets, and execution plans.
• Manage multiple concurrent testing projects from proposal through final delivery.
• Coordinate activities with engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and clients.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
• Oversee safe operation of BakerRisk testing facilities and SOP development.
