Job summary

Moog is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Test Equipment in Buffalo, NY to design and develop test equipment for space and defense programs. You will lead the design process, validate requirements with program teams, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with production for robust solutions.

Requirements include a BS in engineering, 5+ years, LabVIEW expertise, and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Experience with automation, firmware and NI hardware is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience coaching, guiding, or providing technical leadership to other engineers.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication; self-motivated and analytical.
• Experience with MATLAB, Minitab, or R/S-Plus; containerization; test automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of test equipment, systems architecture and interfaces.
• Collaborate with internal program teams to validate requirements and deliver solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate work across teams.
• Work with LabVIEW and NI hardware to test actuators, motors and controllers.
