Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Test Engineer in Long Beach, CA for on-site, permanent work. The role centers on qualification and acceptance testing of spacecraft propellant and pressurant tanks, including hydrostatic proof, helium leak, and vibration/thermal tests.

You will design test setups, write procedures, and provide engineering oversight while collaborating with engineering, quality, and program teams to ensure data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Test engineering experience with pressure, leak, flow, vibration, or thermal testing focus.
• Senior through lead level considered (roughly 3–15 years).
• Experience in aerospace/spacecraft or pressure vessel hardware is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support qualification and acceptance testing of spacecraft propellant and pressurant tanks, incl. hydrostatic proof, helium leak, static load, expulsion, and thermal tests.
• Design test setups and fixtures; write test procedures for new development and qualification programs.
• Provide engineering oversight on critical tests and hands-on support to test technicians and vendors.
• Review and analyze test data against requirements; flag anomalies and produce plots, charts, and test reports.
• Support Quality on test nonconformances using RCCA, with rework and repair recommendations to Engineering.
• Serve as technical liaison to program management and customers, driving process improvements.
