Job summary

Eaton's Electrical division is seeking a Lead Test Engineer in a hybrid role based at our Moon Township, PA location, with relocation assistance within the US/PR. The role leads mechanical and electrical testing development for the Power Components Division and oversees tester development for new product launches from concept to production.

Qualifications include a BS in Engineering, 5+ years in design/build/operation of production test equipment and software testing, plus Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Five years of experience in designing, building, and operating production test equipment and software testing.
• Experience with statistical quality tools, capability studies, and gage R&Rs.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
• Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification preferred.
• Experience in new product development and industrialization.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, quality management, and project management; familiarity with circuit breakers and switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Design and industrialize test and automation processes, equipment, and fixtures for NPD.
• Drive optimization of testing processes and procedures.
• Develop tester specifications and test procedures; collaborate with suppliers on test equipment.
• Set-up and validate new test equipment and readiness for production.
• Ensure test equipment meets performance; support troubleshooting and yield issues.
• Create and deploy testing related Standard Work and training.
• Mentor plant Test Engineering leads and manage resources and equipment gaps.
• Lead business case development for new test equipment and improvements.
• Manage capital expenditures and forecasts for NPD test equipment.
