Job summary

Battelle is seeking a Lead Test Engineer for our Egg Harbor Township, NJ location. The role focuses on explosive vulnerability testing in support of DHS and national aviation security objectives, with hands-on instrumentation and data analysis responsibilities.

The position requires leadership in test planning, data acquisition, and collaboration with DHS/DoD stakeholders; travel to APG, MD is expected and a DoD clearance may be required. A hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level or higher in Mechanical Engineering with substantial testing exposure.
• Experience with explosive testing and blast measurement instrumentation is essential.
• Proven ability to analyze test data and present findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of test matrices and planning for DHS-conducted blast tests.
• Set up and conduct explosive vulnerability tests with instrumentation.
• Acquire, process, and analyze test data; generate result analyses and program assessments.
• Support predictive blast modeling and simulation for test planning.
• Coordinate work breakdown structures and track progress; travel to APG, MD as required.
