Job summary

Abbott is pursuing a Manager, Test Automation to scale automated testing across a globally distributed engineering organization. The role leads the design and implementation of automated testing for Lingo platforms, CGM and biosensor data pipelines, and AI/ML services to ensure safe, reliable releases and a strong user experience.

You will own the automation strategy, define what and how to automate, and integrate it into CI/CD, while coaching engineers and aligning across time zones.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software quality or test automation, with leadership experience.
• Hands-on in building automated test frameworks and infrastructure.
• Experience testing consumer-facing apps at scale and API/service level testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a test automation team in a globally distributed environment with clear priorities.
• Design and evolve automation frameworks for mobile, backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD to provide fast, actionable feedback.
• Define automation coverage strategy and release readiness criteria with Eng & Product.
• Own test data, environments, and tooling to support continuous releases.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and best-practice guidance.
