Job summary

Astrion is seeking a SETA Test and Evaluation Engineer for the CAML Project Office. The senior role leads T&E strategy, develops test plans, and coordinates CONUS/OCONUS flight tests across munition types, interfacing with government, industry, and test organizations.

You will deliver test results, manage defects, and produce executive briefings on readiness, risks, and recommendations, while ensuring quality across the lifecycle and contributing to training and publications teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline plus 8 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for the master's degree.
• Twelve years of relevant work experience may be substituted for the master's degree.
• More than 10 years of relevant professional experience in test & evaluation, systems engineering, software QA, or related field.
• Ability to independently perform functional duties in high-visibility or mission-critical programs.
• Experience developing and executing system, software, operational, or flight-test plans and procedures.
• Experience with requirements verification, defect tracking, regression testing, test data management, and technical reporting.
• Experience coordinating complex test events with government, industry, ranges, and stakeholders.
• Strong written, verbal, briefing, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET clearance and travel CONUS/OCONUS as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead T&E subject-matter expert for CAML project office.
• Develop test plans, requirements, procedures, schedules, and technical reports.
• Plan and execute CONUS and OCONUS flight-test events for CAML munition types.
• Coordinate with government, developer, range, and test-organization activities.
• Translate senior leadership requirements into executable test programs.
• Deliver executive briefings on progress, results, readiness, risks, deficiencies, and recommendations.
• Independently develop and execute test scripts and procedures.
• Manage test data, defects, and ensure integrity and currency.
• Provide QA for system changes and software releases; support release management.
• Document processes and communicate changes to stakeholders; support training/publications teams.
• Oversee work of junior staff and ensure attainment of program goals.
