Job summary

Lear Corporation is seeking a Senior Terminal Engineer for the Connection Systems Business Unit in North America. The role focuses on 3D model development, 2D print/library release, and lab interactions to drive terminal systems from concept through release.

You will lead and influence a team of designers and technicians, ensure APQP-compliant documentation, and collaborate with global product teams to optimize manufacturability and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with terminal system product development (design attributes and industry specifications).
• 3D modeling capability using CATIA V5, SolidWorks, or UG; CAD as a design review tool.
• Knowledge of part design for progressive die and injection molding (cavity development).
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead and coordinate a team of designers and lab technicians to achieve project goals.
• Able to follow APQP processes for project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage 3D model development (50% of day) and 2D print development/library release (15%).
• Interact with lab teams (35%) to support terminal systems.
• Lead engineering activity to meet customer and company specs and milestones.
• Coordinate and monitor engineering processes; provide direction as needed.
