Job summary

TruStone Financial Credit Union in Minneapolis is hiring a Teller/Member Service Associate to welcome members, open new memberships and accounts, and provide friendly help while promoting financial well-being.

You will process routine inquiries, transactions and service requests, cross-sell TruStone products, and help train branch staff to uphold our standards. The role supports branch goals and ensures teller accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of cash handling experience or experience serving customers.
• Knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations preferred.
• Experience training others, preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to help people.
• Effective verbal and written communication and training skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good decision-making skills and judgement.
• Ability to perform calculations and possess proficiency in basic math skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and maintain accurate records.
• A professional and friendly appearance and demeanor.
• Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and all its provisions.
• Ability to pass all pre-employment drug test and various background checks.
• Regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members into the branch and provide friendly, helpful service that promotes financial well-being.
• Initiate and open new memberships and accounts while providing information on regulations and policies.
• Promote, sell and refer TruStone products and services while processing a variety of routine inquiries, transactions and service requests.
• Train these activities to branch staff.
• Meet branch goals through active participation in sales programs.
• Ensure Tellers are performing in conformance with TruStone process and procedure.
