First PREMIER Bank in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a branch teller to manage a cash drawer, process deposits and withdrawals, and provide exceptional customer service. The role includes supporting branch operations, balancing cash daily, and applying Premier customer service standards.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of cash handling experience, strong communication skills, and basic computer literacy. Supervisory experience is preferred for growth within the branch.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of cash handling or related experience is required.
• Supervisory or management experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a cash drawer and balance it daily according to teller performance standards and records of transactions.
• Provide exemplary customer service and coach teller staff; coordinate with Branch Manager on schedules and operations.
• Execute customer service by greeting customers, processing transactions accurately and maintaining confidentiality.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, checks, Savings Bonds, and loan/credit card payments; monitor for accuracy and compliance.
• Open/close the branch; follow procedures for quality standards and regulatory compliance; supervise staff as needed.

Provides exemplary customer service, staff training, supervision and coaching of the branch teller staff.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Execute PREMIER customer service by greeting all customers promptly, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality, and understanding the features and benefits of First PREMIER Bank’s products and services.Partner with the Branch Manager to coordinate staff schedules, workflow, and ensure effective operation of all parts of the branch, including consistent PREMIER customer service standards. Also performs branch opening and closing duties independently.Follow a range of mandatory procedures to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory and internal codes of conduct.Monitor security procedures by communicating alerts, key assignments, dual control for key/combinations, cash audits, updating notification lists, training and updating procedures, assignment of alarm codes, distribution of alarm packets, and responding to alarms at the branch.Process transactions including deposits and withdrawals, cashed checks, Savings Bonds, and receipt of payments (loans, credit cards, credit lines).Review transactions override requests for accuracy to perform overrides as needed.Assign and oversees Vault, drawer, and TCR responsibilities.Review account information, help customers and tellers with complex problems or questions and keep customer information current using internal systems.Interview, hire, and train new staff. Provide constructive and timely performance reviews.
