Job summary

RTX is seeking experienced engineers for the Effector Analog & Power team in Tucson, AZ to design and test electronic products and systems focused on telemetry and flight termination systems. You will lead architecture, drive PCBA development, and ensure regulatory compliance for complex TM/FTS designs.

The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience (5+ with advanced degree) and strong background in analog/mixed-signal circuits, MATLAB-based analysis, and ECAD workflows.

Qualifications

• Require degree in STEM and 8+ years experience or advanced degree with 5+ years experience.
• Experience with electronics design at system/subsystem level.
• Experience generating/utilizing electrical design specifications.
• Deep experience with analog/mixed-signal circuit design (FET/BJT, op-amps, filters, ADCs, level shifting).
• Experience with analysis tools (MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead system and circuit-level architecture design for TM/FTS subsystems.
• Drive full lifecycle development of PCBA designs from requirements to qualification.
• Lead technical reviews, failure investigations, supplier engagements, and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee analog/mixed-signal circuit design, analyses, testing, and documentation.
• Generate engineering artifacts to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
• Mentor junior/mid-level engineers and shape best practices.
