Job summary

Florida Department of Financial Services seeks a lead network engineer to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure, UCaaS, and related voice/data systems. You will lead projects, analyze performance, and support ongoing operations while coordinating with vendors and users to ensure accuracy of telecom invoices.

The role emphasizes Cisco routing/switching, VoIP, and contact center tech, with strong English communication. On-site in Tallahassee, FL.

Qualifications

5+ years in voice network engineering with design, analysis, capacity planning and performance tuning.
4+ years in Cisco routing, switching and security with multilayer switches or UC gateways.
3+ years in telecom, finance, or auditing focusing on invoice reconciliation and vendor management.
2+ years in VoIP systems and IP protocols.
Experience with contact center solutions (Cisco, Five9, Genesis, etc.).
Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

Lead engineer for designing, implementing, and maintaining network technologies under Network Services.
Analyze, develop, test, implement, and maintain Department network infrastructure and UCaaS.
Track, review, and validate telecommunications invoices; liaise with vendors and users.
