Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a Lead Telecom Engineer to design advanced building systems, mentor staff, and coordinate multi‑discipline project teams. You’ll prepare design documents, perform calculations, and lead from concept through completion to ensure high quality outcomes.

You will collaborate with project managers, clients, and architects, maintaining schedules and budgets while expanding the practice through technical leadership and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 9–10 years of relevant experience.
• PE license required.
• FE exam completion preferred.
• Sustainability certifications (e.g., LEED, CDP) preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or directs design documents, system layouts, drawings, schematics and specs.
• Leads design efforts from concept through completion.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specs.
• Evaluates products for their application and feasibility of systems.
• Mentors less experienced designers and engineers and coordinates with project teams.
• Oversees project quality, scope, schedule, and cost; oversees staff and resources.
• Develops relationships with clients and partners to expand business opportunities.
