Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a Lead Technician QHSE to support the implementation and maintenance of QHSE systems across multiple projects and sites. You will conduct inspections, train staff, and investigate incidents to foster a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.

The role requires 5+ years in QHSE, OSHA 30-hour certification, and strong knowledge of regulations. Travel to project sites is anticipated as needed, with a focus on safety culture and regulatory

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dedicated QHSE role, preferably within construction, utilities, or energy sectors.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification for General Industry or Construction.
  • Proven knowledge of federal, state, and local QHSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Strong incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with ability to train and influence others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular QHSE inspections and audits of work sites, equipment, and processes.
  • Assist in development, implementation, and enforcement of QHSE policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Deliver QHSE training to employees, including new hire orientations and toolbox talks.
  • Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate QHSE records and reports, including incident logs and training records.
  • Collaborate with project managers and employees to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal QHSE regulations and company standards.
  • Participate in the development and review of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
  • Assist in emergency preparedness and planning, including drills and evaluations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on QHSE matters to site personnel.

Job Summary
