POSITION TITLE: Lead Technician, ISP

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW: ADB is a nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, Technology, Critical Infrastructure, and Engineering. ADB is seeking a Lead Technician, ISP, to provide expert-level ISP (inside plant) copper and fiber cable installations nationwide. The Lead Technician should have the technical expertise to perform installations and removals of powered and non-powered equipment, and possess leadership skills to guide onsite standards and team members. The ideal candidate will be customer and quality-focused, fully committed to safety, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Perform expert fiber and copper cable installation, termination, assembly, and dressing to meet customer requirements.
  • Add and remove non-powered and powered cables and equipment (e.g., racks, cabinets) following project scope, including wiring, connections, and rack elevation drawings.
  • Perform fiber splicing, scoping, testing, and certification to ensure quality.
  • Apply expertise in data center infrastructure to ensure satisfactory project outcomes.
  • Verify Central Office Frame to execute IDC termination (66/110/LSA blocks) of coaxial cables with F connectors and test paired cables.
  • Install and cable secondary DC power equipment, including terminations and connections into active power bays.
  • Produce redline drawings, cable test validation, and other deliverables for project approval and invoicing support.
  • Be a Culture Champion at ADB by promoting participation in company events and initiatives.
  • Oversee time, materials, documentation, tools, equipment, and subcontractors onsite in partnership with construction management.
  • Lead and train crew members, ensuring safety, quality, performance, and conduct standards are met.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, internal teams, and subcontractors; address issues proactively.
  • Champion safety culture through leadership, education, and active participation in safety practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Work Environment

  • Support ISP projects across various customer facilities nationwide.
  • Physical ability to sit, squat, stand, walk, climb, etc.
  • Potential exposure to noise and other onsite conditions.
  • Required to wear safety gear such as glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots.

Experience And Education

  • 6-10 years of ISP cable installation experience.
  • At least 2 years of data center buildout experience.
  • At least 2 years of CO (central office) buildout/frame certification experience.
  • Minimum 2 years as a Lead/Foreman leading onsite crews.
  • BICSI Installer certification required.
  • Preferred but not required: 2 manufacturer certifications (e.g., CommScope, B-Line).
  • Man lift & CPR certifications required.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
