Supervise associates by assigning duties, monitoring performance, and providing feedback
Train and support associates on company policies, procedures, OSHA, DOT, and other regulations
Manage landscape maintenance, including planting, pruning, pest control, snow removal, and ice removal
Operate and maintain heavy machinery and vehicles
Complete safety checks and maintain proper documentation
Coordinate equipment purchases, budget preparation, and maintenance
Lead teams by communicating goals, supporting change, and fostering collaboration
Support continuous improvement, facility sustainability, and operational efficiency
Manage vehicle maintenance and enforce regulatory compliance
Requirements
- Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and maintain a minimum 90-day Medical Examiner's Certification (MEC) card
- Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
- No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three years
- No more than two moving violations in the last three years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle
- No serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle
- No preventable accidents under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle
- Ability to read and speak English
- Two years' experience in the landscaping/gardening industry
- Proven leadership experience supervising and developing associates in a facility services environment
- Strong knowledge of landscape management, horticulture methods, and exterior maintenance practices
- Ability to operate, inspect, and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently
- Expertise in OSHA, NFPA, DOT, and other regulatory compliance
- Skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service
- Experience managing budgets, sourcing materials, and coordinating equipment maintenance
- Proficiency with technology for work orders and accurate records
