Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable working at heights over 50 ft.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Advanced troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network systems.
• Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP) and system integrations.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair equipment including Windows/Linux hardware and networking.
• Prepare reports and communicate shift-to-shift information per policy.
• Respond to maintenance alarms within defined timeframes.
• Restore equipment to operational status quickly.
• Maintain spare parts and suggest preventive maintenance actions.
• Provide local administrative practices and documentation.
• Make recommendations on system usage and component applications.
• Complete paperwork accurately and lead/ train technicians.

Lead Technician (Finance)

TransCore (TCI), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a Lead Technician to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK.

Summary: The Lead Technician performs on-site or in-house servicing, repair and/or installation of customer equipment. This job may include any aspect of field support including installation, troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment and wiring, installation and configuration of component systems/firmware, including upgrades, modifications and programming; preventive maintenance actions; documentation. Assists manager with field problem solving and distribution of parts and information to field technicians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Installation, preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment including Microsoft Windows and Linux-based hardware, video surveillance and detection equipment, radar/LIDAR/magnetic detection equipment, network communications equipment, and/or fiber optic/Wi-Fi/radio equipment.
• Complete reports, logs and perform shift-to-shift communications in accordance with established policies, procedures and local practices.
• Respond to corrective maintenance requests or alarms within an acceptable time frame.
• Restore equipment to operational status as quickly as possible.
• Maintenance of spare equipment and parts following guidelines set forth to do so.
• Recommend preventative maintenance action and program.
• May recommend and develop local administrative practices.
• Make recommendations regarding the application or utilization of the system and its components.
• Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Lead and train technicians.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) strongly preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Must maintain driver's license in good standing as verified by Transcore.
• Must be comfortable working at heights that could be in excess of 50 ft.
• Proven expertise in leadership or supervisory role.
• Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills for hardware, software, and network systems.
• Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP), system integrations, and diagnostics.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
