Job summary

ALO is seeking a Senior Technical Designer in California to lead the garment fit and tailoring process. You will work from proto to pre-production, ensuring accuracy across multiple size runs and communicating changes to global vendors.

The role requires extensive fit room experience, sewing and pattern knowledge, and proficiency with PLM, CLO, and Adobe Illustrator. This is an onsite position in California with a focus on studio-to-street fashion.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as a technical design expert.
• Degree in fashion or related field.
• Experience with sewing and garment patterns.
• Proficiency with PLM, Adobe Suite, CLO.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of knit and woven fabric performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead fittings and provide fit direction.
• Approve final fit and grading for production.
• Communicate garment changes to vendors via data notes.
• Create comments in Adobe Illustrator and implement in PLM.
• Attend fittings and proto reviews with designers.
• Organize data and sample queues by priority.
• Collaborate with design and vendor teams globally.
