Job summary

Lambert's Cable is seeking a Lead Warehouse Technician to manage receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. You will ensure accurate order filling, track inventory, and follow safety and packaging guidelines while working with equipment to support the team.

This role requires heavy travel. You will conduct inspections, prepare shipments, verify orders, and maintain inventory accuracy, using forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and packaging guidelines and audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and audits as needed.
• Prepare, verify, and pack orders for shipment according to tickets and customer requirements.
• Receive, unload, and inspect shipments; verify against packing slips and POs.
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and forklift for loading/unloading materials.
• Stock shelves, organize pick tickets, and maintain accurate inventory.
• Work overtime, travel, and be on-call when required.

What you’ll do

• Conduct inspections and prepare periodic audits as needed
• Resolve shortages and manage packaging material restocking needs
• Prepare and verify orders for shipment according to pick tickets and customer requirements
• Check and verify inventory to ensure availability of needed stock
• Package and ship products according to packaging guidelines and practices
• Stock shelves in the warehouse and put away new materials
• Organize pick tickets and cross-check them with packing slips and work orders
• Receive, unload, and inspect shipments; confirm accuracy with packing slips and purchase orders
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift for loading and unloading materials
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack
• Five years of experience in warehouse or material handling
• Knowledge of computer and inventory control systems

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicle, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, climb stairs, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces or remote locations with arms above shoulder level, lift greater than 55 pounds, squeeze, fine hand motion, and use portable ladder
