Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. is seeking a Lead Warehouse Technician to oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and inventory control.

You will operate forklifts, manage outbound shipments, and support safety and packaging guidelines across multiple locations; this role requires travel between warehouses and may include overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
• Experience operating forklift and pallet jack.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and work in varied conditions.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Inspect shipments and perform periodic audits.
• Resolve shortages and manage restocking of packaging materials.
• Prepare and verify orders for shipment per pick tickets.
• Check inventory availability and accuracy.
• Package and ship products per guidelines.
• Stock warehouse shelves and store new materials.
• Organize pick tickets and cross-check with packing slips.
• Receive, unload, and inspect shipments; verify with PO.
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and forklift for loading.
• Work overtime, travel, and after-hours duties as needed.
• Travel between warehouses.

At Lambert's Cable, as a Lead Warehouse Technician, you’ll keep everything running smoothly by managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. You’ll ensure orders are filled accurately, track inventory, and follow safety and packaging guidelines, all while working with equipment and handling materials to support the team.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct inspections and prepare periodic audits as needed
• Resolve shortages and manage packaging material restocking needs
• Prepare and verify orders for shipment according to pick tickets and customer requirements
• Check and verify inventory to ensure availability of needed stock
• Package and ship products according to packaging guidelines and practices
• Stock shelves in the warehouse and put away new materials
• Organize pick tickets and cross-check them with packing slips and work orders
• Receive, unload, and inspect shipments; confirm accuracy with packing slips and purchase orders
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift for loading and unloading materials
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Travel between warehouses
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack
• Five years of experience in warehouse or material handling
• Knowledge of computer and inventory control systems
• Must be able to travel

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicle, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, climb stairs, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces or remote locations with arms above shoulder level, lift greater than 55 pounds, squeeze, fine hand motion, and use portable ladder
