Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. is seeking a Lead Warehouse Technician to manage receipt, storage, and distribution of goods on site in Asheboro, NC.

You will ensure accurate orders, track inventory, and enforce safety and packaging guidelines while operating equipment and handling materials to support the team. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in warehouse/material handling, experience with forklifts and pallet jacks, and competence with inventory control systems.

Qualifications

• Active forklift operation experience and material handling.
• Knowledge of inventory control systems and accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and maintain valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• Inspect shipments and perform periodic audits as needed.
• Resolve shortages and manage packaging material restocking.
• Prepare and verify orders for shipment per pick tickets and customer requirements.
• Check inventory for stock availability.
• Package and ship products following guidelines and practices.
• Stock warehouse shelves and organize incoming materials.
• Organize pick tickets and cross-check with packing slips and work orders.
• Receive, unload, and inspect shipments; confirm against packing slips and PO.
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and forklift for loading/unloading.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct inspections and prepare periodic audits as needed

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack
• Five years of experience in warehouse or material handling
• Knowledge of computer and inventory control systems

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicle, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, climb stairs, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces or remote locations with arms above shoulder level, lift greater than 55 pounds, squeeze, fine hand motion, and use portable ladder
