Job summary

Lambert's Cable is hiring a Lead Warehouse Technician to oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. You will ensure orders are filled accurately and inventory is tracked, while adhering to safety and packaging guidelines.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, check packing slips against purchase orders, and prepare shipments according to customer requirements, with attention to detail and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or relevant work experience.
• Five years of warehouse or material handling experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to pass a DOT physical exam for a valid medical card.
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack.
• Knowledge of computer and inventory control systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and audit inventory as needed.
• Resolve shortages and manage restocking of packaging materials.
• Prepare and verify orders for shipment according to pick tickets and customer requirements.
• Check inventory for stock availability and accuracy.
• Package and ship products per guidelines and practices.
• Stock shelves and organize warehouse materials.
• Cross-check pick tickets with packing slips and work orders.
• Receive, unload, and inspect shipments; verify against PO and packing slips.
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and forklift for loading/unloading.
• Work overtime, travel, and on-call/after-hours as needed.

What you'll do

• Conduct inspections and prepare periodic audits as needed
• Resolve shortages and manage packaging material restocking needs
• Prepare and verify orders for shipment according to pick tickets and customer requirements
• Check and verify inventory to ensure availability of needed stock
• Package and ship products according to packaging guidelines and practices
• Stock shelves in the warehouse and put away new materials
• Organize pick tickets and cross-check them with packing slips and work orders
• Receive, unload, and inspect shipments; confirm accuracy with packing slips and purchase orders
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift for loading and unloading materials

What you'll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack
• Five years of experience in warehouse or material handling
• Knowledge of computer and inventory control systems

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicle, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, climb stairs, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces or remote locations with arms above shoulder level, lift greater than 55 pounds, squeeze, fine hand motion, and use portable ladder
