Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. is hiring a Lead Warehouse Technician in Orlando to manage receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. You will ensure accurate order filling, track inventory, and follow safety and packaging guidelines while using forklift equipment to support the team.

Responsibilities include audits, restocking materials, prepping shipments, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Candidates need at least five years in warehousing and a valid US driver's license; DOT medical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five years of warehouse or material handling experience.
• Valid state driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a medical card.
• Experience operating forklift and pallet jack; knowledge of inventory control systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and periodic audits as needed.
• Resolve shortages and restock packaging materials.
• Prepare and verify orders for shipment per tickets and customer requirements.
• Check inventory availability and accuracy.
• Package and ship products following packaging guidelines.
• Stock warehouse shelves and store new materials.
• Organize pick tickets and cross-check with packing slips.
• Receive and inspect shipments; verify with packing slips and POs.
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and forklift for loading/unloading.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct inspections and prepare periodic audits as needed
• Resolve shortages and manage packaging material restocking needs
• Prepare and verify orders for shipment according to pick tickets and customer requirements
• Check and verify inventory to ensure availability of needed stock
• Package and ship products according to packaging guidelines and practices
• Stock shelves in the warehouse and put away new materials
• Organize pick tickets and cross-check them with packing slips and work orders
• Receive, unload, and inspect shipments; confirm accuracy with packing slips and purchase orders
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift for loading and unloading materials
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack
• Five years of experience in warehouse or material handling
• Knowledge of computer and inventory control systems

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicle, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, climb stairs, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces or remote locations with arms above shoulder level, lift greater than 55 pounds, squeeze, fine hand motion, and use portable ladder
