Job summary

IREN is seeking a Technical Sourcing Manager, Optics & Switches to own the data center switching and optics category. You will manage commercial and technical relationships for switches, transceivers, and cabling, with autonomy reporting to the Director, Network Sourcing.

Ideal candidates have deep experience in data center networking, ability to model costs, and a track record negotiating high-value vendor agreements in supply-constrained markets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in technical sourcing, procurement, or category management.
• Experience sourcing networking hardware from major switch OEM/ODM.
• Strong cost modeling, TCO analyses, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own switch and optics sourcing end-to-end: negotiations, pricing, contracting.
• Drive procurement of top-of-rack, leaf, spine gear and related cabling.
• Track supply market and mitigate shortages to prevent blockers.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Data Center Ops, and PMs on timelines.
