Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine, is seeking a Lead Tech in the Mailroom within Space Planning & Operations in Philadelphia. You will coordinate day-to-day mail receiving and distribution, supervise Building Services Assistants, and use an automated package-tracking system to monitor throughput.

This essential role requires a high school diploma and 3–5 years’ related experience; lifting up to 50 pounds; overtime on short notice; strong teamwork and data integrity

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 3–5 years of related experience required.
• Technical training or apprenticeship beyond high school is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work overtime on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day mail receiving and distribution operations for PSOM.
• Train Building Services Assistants in the Mailroom function with Supervisors.
• Use the automated package-tracking system to monitor volumes and statuses.
• Ensure data integrity and provide high quality service to the Penn community.
• Cover staff shortages in Receiving and Event-Support areas as needed.
