Job summary

West Madison Bible Church, an independent church, is seeking a full-time lead pastor to guide our growth, foster evangelism in the local community and worldwide missions, and serve as the long-term spiritual leader for the body of Christ.

The role requires pastoral leadership, preaching, and active involvement with church leadership and staff. Candidates should have experience in ministry and a strong commitment to Scripture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of ministry experience including preaching.
• Bachelor's degree from a conservative Bible college.
• Strong communication, working with others, initiative, and conflict resolution.
• Passion for equipping believers and evangelizing the lost.
• Active prayer life and ongoing growth in God's Word.
• Basic working knowledge of current technology.

Responsibilities

• Preaching the Word of God every Sunday.
• Provide pastoral care including visiting the sick and shut-ins, as well as counseling and support.
• Overseeing ceremonies including weddings, funerals, and baptisms.
• Active evangelistic outreach to the community.
• Developing and mentoring leadership within the church.
• Be actively involved with church leadership and staff.
