Job summary

The Center for Disability Services, via The Langan School, seeks a Lead Teaching Assistant for a 10-month program in Albany. The role supports teachers and therapists, leads the classroom in the absence of the teacher, and manages IEP data entry and daily prep.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Teaching Assistant Certification.
• At least 2 years of experience working with children or individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with activities designed to address student needs per IEPs.
• Prepare classroom materials, directly instruct students, and provide custodial care as needed.
