Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Experience in licensed childcare or early childhood setting.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and curriculum.
• Strong leadership and classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication with children, families, and staff.
• Texas childcare licensing background check and health requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum aligned with early childhood development standards.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment for children.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides.
• Monitor and document children's developmental progress and communicate updates to parents and guardians.
• Build positive relationships with families through regular communication and parent engagement.
• Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
