Babilou Family US is seeking a Lead Teacher for our Heartworks program in South Burlington, VT. You will design developmentally appropriate lessons, supervise staff, and partner with families to support holistic growth amid our sustainability‑minded approach.

Qualifications

• Meet one of the listed Vermont credential options for lead teacher.
• Education credentials aligned to early childhood development.
• Vermont teaching license endorsement may apply.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement daily lesson plans aligned with developmentally appropriate practice and sustainable education.
• Lead classroom organization and routines to promote environmental responsibility.
• Supervise school staff including hiring, training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Represent leadership in absence of School Director/Assistant Director and model best practices.
• Support family engagement through conferences, events, and community learning.

Formation

Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level Four (4) A or B Certificate

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Child or Human Development, Elementary Education, Special Education (birth to eight focus)

Bachelor degree with 30 college credits in early childhood or school age focus (12 months experience with children)

Current Vermont Agency of Education teaching license with endorsement in Early Childhood / Early Childhood Special Education / Elementary Education
