The Willow Oaks Academy LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Lead Teacher to lead and nurture a safe, engaging classroom environment for young learners. You will implement curriculum, monitor development, and coordinate with staff to ensure quality care and education.

Ideal candidates bring early childhood credentials, 1+ year of experience, and strong organizational and communication skills. This role supports families and requires flexibility to work across local centers as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years and eligibility to work with children in NC.
• Completion of Early Childhood Credentials 1 & 2 with credentials submitted for validation.
• Twelve additional credit hours in early childhood education.
• At least one year of experience working with young children.
• Flexibility to work at other local childcare centers in emergencies.
• Positive attitude and passion for working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Implement classroom curriculum and plan weekly activities.
• Monitor child development and progress.
• Assist with center cleaning and support colleagues.
• Maintain updated children's records and photos in management systems.
• Keep a safe environment and communicate with parents.
• Complete in-service and yearly training; comply with regulations.
• Inform teachers and directors of classroom and building issues.
• Organize and arrange classroom appropriately.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain a professional environment.
• Supervise children, ensure playground safety, and maintain cleanliness.
