Community Concepts, Inc. in Norway, ME is seeking an experienced Lead Pre-K Teacher for our Head Start Classroom. This 40-hour per week position follows the school calendar and may run up to 50 weeks per year.

Starting pay is $21.64–$23.64 per hour, with state supplement opportunities and comprehensive benefits. You will lead a preschool classroom team, plan activities, tailor curricula to support children's development, and engage families while ensuring Head Start standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in early care and education is preferred.

Salary Range: $21.64 To $23.64 Hourly

We are seeking an experienced, energetic Lead Pre-K Teacherfor our Head Start Classroom at our Guy E. Rowe Early Learning Center. This position is 40 hours and generally follows the school calendar and is up to 50 weeks per year.

Starting Pay Range: $21.64-23.64/hour depending on education and experience

• This position is currently eligible for an additional monthly wage supplement through the State of Maine Early Childhood Educator Workforce Salary Supplement Program. The tiered supplements are currently in payments of $240, $360, or $540 monthly. Visit maine.gov/dhhs for more information.

• Planning activities and tailoring curriculum to meet children’s social, emotional, physical, literacy, and cognitive development
• Communicating with and supporting families in meet their children’s and families’ needs

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education required or a closely related field required

Other Requirements:

Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate others; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team; considerable stamina to regularly lift, bend, carry, and perform other high-energy activities; competency with Microsoft Office; ability to obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. Pre-employment physical, SBI, DMV, Maine Sex Offender Registry, DHHS fingerprinting, fraud, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment; valid driver’s license and travel within the service area is required.
